1. Scenario

When you will change the due date for a task before its start date

Result: If you are using Outlook for Mac 2011 and Outlook 2016 for Mac then Start Date is robotically moved to the same as the Due Date. In Outlook 2010 and 2013 you will receive an error “The due date of a task cannot occur before its start date.”

If start date of a task is primarily set to none with a Due Date set, then you set the Start Date to a date later than the Due Date.

Result: For all versions of Outlook Due Date will change to the same date as the new Start Date that was set.
